About the role:  

Join the team that designs, deploys and manages Xperi’s Global IT Network Infrastructure. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Infrastructure, as a hands-on Distinguished Network Architect, you’ll design, implement and maintain the next generation of highly-available IT networks that support Xperi’s corporate, security and product platforms.  The Distinguished Architect is an expert in the field of networking, with a significant depth of knowledge regarding Cloud and On-Prem network technologies, industry trends, and emerging network solutions.
 
What you will get to do:
  • Be a lead architect for a global IT infrastructure team that owns deployment and operations of Data Center, Server, Storage, Network (WAN/LAN) and Cloud solutions
  • Develop the Network infrastructure roadmap in support of corporate, security and product initiatives
  • Design the architecture, develop / refine design standards and implement best practices for Xperi IT Network Infrastructure solutions
  • Drive comprehensive analysis of network, security and infrastructure solutions to improve performance, improve scalability and enhance reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, DBA, Security, Product Engineering and other functions to build scalable, high-performing network solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Participate in network incident response and remediation, and lead root-cause analysis in collaboration with network vendors
  • Be a mentor to network engineering resources and a key partner to business leaders
  • Collaborate with and influence Xperi leadership at the Executive level
Who we are looking for:
  • 10+ Years of progressively expanding responsibilities in IT network engineering, operations and solutioning
  • Additional 5+ Years in Principal Network Engineering/Architecture roles
  • Expert-level experience with Network technologies (Cisco, PAN, F5)
  • Expert-level experience with cloud-based services (AWS and Google) and hybrid-cloud
  • Expert-level experience with network-related security solutions
  • Expert-level Experience with software-defined  networks (SDN), on-premise virtualization and hyperconverged technologies
  • Track record of delivering complex infrastructure solutions at a global scale
  • Track record of deploying infrastructure automation, monitoring solutions, and logging tools
  • Proven experience collaborating with corporate, product, security and international teams
  • Keen troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $199,245 - $264,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
